It’s political establishment is corrupt as all h***, the economy is in the toilet, youth unemployment is through the roof, the government is bloated, birth rates are plummeting, the far-left, far-right and Islamists are running around causing havoc, mass immigration continues unabated, French Jews are under attack from all sides and some are even making Aliyah to Israel, Paris has seen better days, migrant camps are allowed with no pushback, and Macron is as weak and wimpy a leader as has ever lived. These student riots are just the culmination of all these factors coming together. Jens masterfully weaves together the various reasons these riots are taking place. Those young people from immigrant backgrounds don’t feel a part of France or that France accepts them. All of them native-born or immigrant, white, black or brown, face the same problems: they have no jobs, are penniless, have no prospects, and no hope for the future, are angry and p****d off, are stuck living at home with their parents, are lonely and isolated, get rejected from every job interview, and go to c*****y schools that don’t teach them anything, with teachers that don’t care and let them fool around, and don’t prepare them for real life when they leave and have to try and hack it in the real world. In truth, these riots were probably inevitable. These kids are neglected by their parents and French society. Without faith, family and tradition they live meaningless lives filled with depression, anxiety, fear, technology addiction, nothing to believe in, nothing to look forward to, anger, and a country that has left them behind. The vacuum created by that has been filled radical ideologies and violence. No doubt, far-left and Jihadist ideologies are what motivate these kids to do what they’re doing. If the French government wants to pull its head out of its a** and start turning things around, here’s what needs to happen. First off, Emmanuel Macron needs to go. He is a weak and pathetic leader. No, neither Jean-Luc Melechon or Marine Le Pen are the answer either. Center-right former Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau I believe is the best candidate for President of France. Mr. Retailleau has had a long career in French politics, is very experienced having served in office since the late 1980s, has common sense, wants to get tough on immigration, and is staunchly pro-Israel. He should be elected France’s next President in 2027. He and the Republicans should form a coalition with the left and the center that would be a national unity government. The far-left and far-right will be excluded. France will build a huge fence on its border. Mass deportations will be carried out. The French parliament will pass comprehensive immigration reform legislation immediately. France will take in only 50,000 people a year. Assimilation and patriotism will be pushed hard to newcomers. They will be required to take courses on the following subjects: French culture, French history, the French language, western and liberal values, how to treat and interact with French women, and the Holocaust. They will be required to pay a state-sponsored visit to Auschwitz. The rules for who can claim refugee status or asylum status will be tightened. There will a huge crackdown on illegal immigration. All welfare benefits and low-income housing for immigrants will be abolished. It will be a requirement for French citizenship that one will need to recognize Israel’s right to exist. More police will be put on the street and the French Army will be sent in to the cities to protect Jewish communities. Mosques preaching any kind of radicalism will be shuttered.
As to these riots, the police will be sent out in force and mass arrests will be made. All will be charged as adults and given stiff sentences in juvenile facilities. The Catholic Church and other Christian denominations will hold revivals all over the country to attract congregants and will particular focus on young people. The French Army will be stationed on the border and the French Navy and Air Force will patrol the sea and air respectively looking for illegal immigrants and migrants. The French government will make coming to France from the third world extremely expensive to do. A huge war on crime will be launched. A renaissance of traditional French culture will be held. Faith, family, tradition, and national solidarity will be pushed in France. Even the most left-wing Frenchmen will be immersed in it. Paris and all the big cities will be cleaned up. As for the birth rate, it will be brought up by using the following measures.

A few years ago, I took a town car from DC to Dulles. My driver was a Frenchman, the son of North African immigrants. On our ride out he was telling me what a great country France was. Thirty five hour work week, six weeks vacation, can't get fired, early retirement age etc.
So I asked him the obvious question, "why are you driving a car here in Washington?" His answer was "nobody can get a job there."

Yep. I was married to a French girl for 17 years, and spent a lot of time in France. Everything in this article is either verifiably true or rings true. How to fix it? Like Britain, you can't. It's simply too late. Mass deportation of immigrants, even if it could be effected (like we're trying to do in America), would still leave generations of anchor babies and their progeny, cultures intact, that continue to metastasize and destroy the culture that hosted them in the first place.
I know a lot of people who think the same way about the UK and the EU - it is too late. I don't know. I do know at some point it will be too late so the sooner the people take action the better.
