👏👏👏 A tour de force on too little-known historical event that needs to be much better known! Thank you to Rabbi Menachem Levine and Daniel for a stupendous piece worthy of the Pulitzer Prize!
Those whose roles are to 'educate', but end up spreading hateful poison should be treated for the scumbags that they are .. such that they have their reputation tarnished.
It’s occurs to me that during these troubling times when antisemitism is so prevalent, what we need is education. Which as anyone who knows me knows, I’m all about spreading knowledge of history, so the lessons of the past can he learned and we don’t have to repeat them all over again. Here’s a list of resources for everyone in the Guerre and Shalom community to pass on to friends and family:
Books:
• A History of the Jews by Paul Johnson
• Jerusalem: The Biography by Simon Sebag Montefiore
• Sephardi Jewry: A History of the Judeo-Spanish Community, 14th-20th Centuries by Esther Benbassa
• Jews in America: The First 500 Years by Matthew B. Schwartz
• How the West Became Antisemitic: Jews and the Formation of Europe, 800-1500 by Ivan G. Marcus
• When They Come for Us We’ll Be Gone: The Epic Struggle to Save Soviet Jewry by Gal Beckerman
• GI Jews: How World War II Changed a Generation by Deborah Dash Moore
• Holocaust Heroes: Resistance to Hitler’s ‘Final Solution’ by Mark Felton

This is the rot that passes for an educator.

It is astonishing that anyone who is supposed to have a higher education can believe such primitive tosh!
