B] What are the ambitions of Guerre and Shalom?
a) To become a new, daily (weekday), unashamedly pro-Western magazine that defends civilisation, productive debate, our history and our values. “Western” means the political West and is not any reference to geography, ethnicity, religion or day-to-day cultural ritual. As it stands, Asian Japan is part of the West and European Russia is not. The Middle East, the cradle of Western civilisation, is about as lost as one can get.
b) To be a one-stop shop for quality writing on Western civilisation. We will curate your reading with articles from a wide range of authors and perspectives.
c) To be “non-political” in the sense of not explicitly supporting any particular political party or side of the spectrum, but utterly political in our defence of democracy, debate, toleration and healthy doubt.
d) To be particularly supportive of the United Kingdom and the State of Israel, not in terms of specific policies, but rather in their unique positions as the fonts of Western civilisation.
e) To be a pro-Western (and thereby pro-British, pro-Israeli and pro-Anglosphere) publishing house where defenders of our political traditions feel free to exclusively publish their high-quality books.

D] Testimonials below.
“The first time I heard of Daniel Clarke-Serret was when someone forwarded me his essay Pure Jewish Anger last year. I knew immediately that I wanted to collaborate with him.
I have been a journalist for three decades, and done everything from mentor first-day rookies to edit Pulitzer Prize winners, so I know talent when I see it.
What struck me about Daniel’s piece was his exceptional prose and the quality of his thinking.
Writing is a strange skill. On one level, it is innate. You can either write well, or you cannot. No amount of training can turn a poor writer into a good one. Yet for those who can write well, the right mentorship can lift their writing from good to great.
Daniel’s writing was superb. He used vulgarities without being crude and was erudite without being snobbish. His essay was, as his title promised, pure Jewish rage.
Yet, it was well-structured, well-reasoned, historically factual, and built on sound philosophy. This is what separates a good polemic from a mad rant, and what separates a mere writer from a thinker.
When I checked out Daniel’s Substack publication Guerre and Shalom (you are an idiot if you do not subscribe immediately), it was not at all what I expected.
Far from being polemical, it was a unique and educated mix of politics, philosophy, poetry, religion, and all-round erudition, connected by Daniel’s love of Western thought and civilization. It was Renaissance man.
Moreover, it was written in several different “voices”, ranging from the polemical to writings that would be at home in a philosophy journal. The quality, however, was unchanged. This showed his rare versatility. I really wanted to collaborate with him then.”

“This basically says it all: Concisely. Truthfully. Powerfully. Unequivocally. Clearly. Unapologetically. Comprehensively. Understandably. And Realistically.”
Aaron Rubin
“Daniel you said it all just the way I like it, like a real pissed off New Yorker (from Brooklyn before it became disgustingly gentrified)! I would think that any Jew and any true Jewish ally would resonate with what you said and how you said it. Frankly, My blood pressure rose higher and higher with each paragraph.”
Jerry Kleiner
"Daniel does a great job here describing the connections between Sayyid Qutb, the hunger for a program that provides a path out of a broken world, and the danger in declaring you’ve found the perfect Story for everyone on the planet."
- A Mairson
"I find the optimism for change refreshing,"
- E E Negron
"This is such a refreshing article about what is possible. If the ME can be freed from the warmongering and radicals then the world might be a better place for everyone again. I'm just not sure how probable this is, but one can only hope and pray that the tide will turn and diverse cultures can co-exist in peace again. Love never fails."
- "A Horseman in Shangri-La"
"Fascinating stuff. thanks for illuminating another dark figure staining our history."
- Alan D
"Daniel Clarke-Serret’s essay is sharp, timely, and in many ways correct. It names the ideological poison of Qutbism, the totalitarian vision dressed in the language of spiritual liberation, and it draws necessary lines between Islamism and Islam, even if those lines occasionally blur in the reader’s mind. He sees the danger of ideas that reduce the world into the binary of the pure and the impure, the believer and the infidel, the eternal war of submission. He is not wrong."
- E Winter
"Excellent. Now if the rest of the world will read this and understand…. (Wishful thinking)."

“What a great article Daniel. It is one of the clearest, most well-argued pieces I've seen in a long time on the unfolding dynamics between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
You offer a grounded, strategic perspective and explain not just what is happening, but why it matters, and how the U.S. may be reshaping the region without direct military involvement. Thank you once again for your insight.”
- Ruth Sheridan
"A tour de force of an article, Daniel that there can be no possible refutation to! "
- Noah Otte
"Great analysis."
-J Laurent
"This is the best analysis of the morality of migration that I have ever read"
-Stephen Raftery
"A tour de force of an article, Daniel! A piece that every European and western leader needs to read".
- Noah Otte
"Congratulations Daniel. As others here have remarked, this is by far the best analysis of immigration that I have read. I loved the parallels you drew between the abortion debate and immigration; as well as the distinction between what is justified and what is moral. With your permission I would like to share this on my Substack."

"What a wonderful tribute and remembrance, Daniel. As beautiful as Rabbi Sacks himself. One of your best."
- Alan Mairson
“Thank you so much - I feel like I just finished a year-long master class, though obviously this will require several more readings.”

“A fascinating and bold take on a matter on which history’s judgment had already been well formed. You’ve managed to reopen questions that were already thought settled.”

“This is an excellent essay, thank you.”
Shlomo Levin
“Your best essay yet, insightful and gifts the audience a view into the truth of Judaism in its multi-millennial wisdom and pays homage to later religions and Judaic influence, religious purveyors that continue to give solace to the human condition full to brimming with contradictions but can be alleviated by religion and soothe the guilt.”
Charles Chevalier
“Superb, Daniel. I wish I’d written it. Kudos & thank you.”
